Bound world is a metaphor about the locks we put on our potential. I was inspired to create a piece that reflect how locked we are in our mindsets that limit our capabilities. The painting focuses precisely on the lock and chains and less on the body and arms to reflect how we in our own minds many times don't look at the bigger picture and only focus on the risks, problems, etc. Also it is important to note that all locks have a way to open them and all we need to do is find the key. The painting was done in the traditional oil painting methods of the masters with very thin layers at the beginning and building up the color and details in subsequent layers.
